We Need New Members
As you all know, I’m all about openness and transparency!!
So, with that in mind, I wanted to let you in on a couple of figures…
It costs £170 per week to keep a ShowChoir afloat. Thats broken down as follows:
Choir Leader Fee – £100
Venue Hire – £50
Insurance – £20
That’s before we take into account any fuel costs, the time it takes to write the arrangements, create the backing tracks and print the sheet music. Then there is the printing and paper costs and also the Admin to keep us running smoothly.
£170 divided by £6 per week membership fee means we need 29 members to break even
You are all aware that a discount was offered of 1 week free until Christmas, so we have actually been running at a loss since we became ShowChoir.
People are starting to migrate over to the new Direct Debit, but some people have emailed to let me know that they will be leaving ShowChoir when the current Direct Debit runs out. This worries me, I won’t lie!! I don’t want any of our little families to end, but I cannot run at a loss.

Preston – 35
SO WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
- You can migrate over to the new Direct Debit (if you haven’t done so already!) – This only applies if you were on the discounted rate.
- Spread the word
- Invite Friends
- Anything and Everything to save our little choir!!
